CRAIG OFFERS TWO KINDS OF COACHING
PRIVATE LESSONS WITH CRAIG
I've been doing this for almost four decades now, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that talent alone doesn't get you in the room. Somebody has to open the door. I've spent my whole career building relationships with agents, managers, producers, podcast hosts, TV bookers, and the owners of the rooms that actually matter, and I'm opening that network up to a small group of comics who are ready to work.
Here's what I'll actually be working on with you. Finding your voice, the thing that makes you sound like nobody else instead of a version of every other comic you've watched. Writing, because a funny idea and a tight, well-built joke are two different skills. Performance, how you hold a stage, how you handle a room that isn't giving you what you expected. And the piece almost nobody teaches, the business itself, how to actually build a career out of this instead of just collecting laughs. That last one is the one I hear about the least from other coaches, and it's usually the one that decides whether someone makes it or not.
TUESDAY MASTERMIND SESSIONS
Here's what this is. Starting soon, I'm running a weekly group on Zoom, every Tuesday at 6:30 PM Pacific, that's 9:30 Eastern so both coasts can be in the room, 90 minutes, capped at twelve people. I'm going over your material live, in real time, the same way I'd work a set with a headliner before a big show. You'll get direct feedback from me, and you'll learn just as much watching me work with the other eleven people in the room. That kind of rapid-fire exposure to what works and what doesn't is something you can't get sitting alone with a notebook.
But here's the part that actually changes careers. I don't just teach, I place people. Two comics I coached just landed their national television debut on Comics Unleashed. I got a client I worked with onto a podcast that already pulls over 20,000 subscribers, recorded right out of my own podcast studio at the production company I'm with. I've put people on stages that most comics wait a decade to even audition for, The Improv, the Ice House, Punchline in Atlanta, the Comedy Castle in Detroit. I brought a newcomer up to open for me in Houston. And a year ago, I got someone into the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, a room that's damn near impossible to crack, and they're still there, working it as a paid regular.
That's the pattern I keep seeing. Once I introduce someone to the right room, they don't just get one shot, they get a home. And if you're in this group and you're doing the work, you're also in the pool I pull from when I need someone to open for me.
